2019 Racers' Edge Rules

Corvette Autocross Series

February 22, 2019

Asst Chairperson: Mark Fetto

Objective: LVCA and VVV members will have the opportunity to compete in a 5 event drag racing series with the Las Vegas Region SCCA. The competition will utilize matching time trials (MTT) protocols.

Autocross MTT scoring: 1st Place 12 points
2nd Place 11 points
3rd Place 10 points
5th Place 9 points
6th Place 8 points
7th Place 7 points
8th Place 6 points
Remaining 6 points

Rules/Requirements:

*The men and ladies will compete together.

*Clothing: long pants, covered shoulders, helmet (2010 or newer).

*Series Entry Fee: $20.00

*SCCA Entry Fee: $40.00 with SCCA membership

*$55.00 w/o SCCA membership

*Event awards will be handed out at the next club meeting.

*The champion will be based on the best 4 out of 5 events

*Series awards to be given at the LVCA Annual Banquet

*An end of year tie will be decided by the first event in which the 2 competitors raced. The competitor that had the closest matching time wins the tie.

Corvette Drag Racing Series

Objective: LVCA and VVV members will have the opportunity to compete in a 5 event drag racing series at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Drag Strip. They will be awarded points for the Drag Racing Series.

Drag Racing Series Scoring: 5 points - Participates in the time trials/Did not stage
10 points - Stages in the first round
10 points - Wins a round
10 points - Wins final round
5 points - best reaction time during the first round

Rules/Requirements:

The men and ladies will compete together.

Clothing: long pants, covered shoulders, helmet (2010 or newer).

Series Entry Fee: $20.00

LVMS Drag Racing Entry Fee: $40.00

Event awards will be handed out at the track after the last race.

The champion will be based on the best 4 out of 5 events

Series awards to be given at the LVCA Annual Banquet

An end of year tie will be decided by the first event in which the 2 competitors raced. The competitor that went more rounds wins the tie. If they won the same number of rounds, then the person who came the closest to the combination of their dial in and reaction time on the last round wins.
