The meeting was called to order by President Kathy Clapp at 7:30 PM at the Sun City MacDonald Ranch. There were 61 members and 5 guests present. Kathy Clapp welcomed everyone here tonight.

A motion to approve the January 2017 meeting minutes - Jerry Lawrence made the motion to approve as presented, Nita Russell seconded, motion carried, motion approved.
Birthday's were read by Lin Hoernke.
President's Report: Kathy Clapp informed us she has formed a Audit Committee. The volunteers are Lennard Grodzinsky and Dawn Gregorio. She has also stated she has formed a Welcome Committee, these volunteers are Dawn Gregorio, Judy Hastings, Scarlett Stuart and Ingrid O'Brien.
Treasurer's Report: Connie Gentry reported she is waiting to get our taxes back and getting ready for the audit. Monies are good.
Old Business: Kathy Clapp handed out some 2016 Awards for members who were not present at the Awards Banquet.
New Business: New Members and Guest were read by Julie Cantonwine. New member plaque was given to Terry Cole and Mark Fetto. Guest this evening are Darryl Walker, William Bradley and Roy Sciortino. Kathy Clapp handed out the 2017 Budget for the membership to go over. She opened up the floor for questions. No questions were asked. Carl Hastings made a motion to approve as presented, Linda Simpson seconded, motion carried, motion approved.
Committee Reports: Sunshine: Terry Rees informed us that Jan Watson had knee surgery and is home and doing well. We received a card from Leona Beltz stating that she has been through numerous hospital stays but is home now receiving therapy and nurse care. We also received a card from Dennis and Nancy Ledwon thanking us for the flowers. Racer's Edge: Lanny Lowman stated that the first Autocross is this Sunday. He instructed those racer's to bring your rule book or have it on your phone to get your sticker for your car to get your Tech first. Come out and sign up for $40.00 Drag Racing: Ken Rees reported that there are 5 rounds (events). A question was asked from the floor on what you need to wear and equipment needed to Drag Race. Ken Rees stated that all you need to wear is a shirt, long pants, closed shoes and a helmet. Everyone is encouraged to come out and watch (there will be a small entrance fee), bring drinks and food. The #2 winner last year was Darrell Wood, Ken Rees gave him his plaque. Store Keeper: Patty Annis showed us the Club Shirts: the polo shirt is $65.00 and the t-shirt is $25.00 There is a small fee if you want your name embroidered on either shirt.
Upcoming Events: Denise Karpa called Sally McVane forward, she thanked everyone for coming and to those who helped her, especially Rich and Carole McSimov for all their work on the raffles and donating prizes for the raffle. Lanny Lowman announced again that the first Autocross will be this Sunday. Kathy Clapp presented the President's Run will be February 17th - 20th in Solvang, CA at the Hotel Corque. Group Rates are $199.00 Friday night, $239.00 Saturday night and $169.00 Sunday night, you will make your own Hotel reservations. Friday night will be a welcoming reception, Saturday morning will be a 2 hour tour of the Mendenhall Museum, dinner Saturday night will be at AJ Spurs Saloon and Dining Hall, Sunday will be open to your choice. There will be a $50.00 per person cost. Skip Kelley came up and reported the dates for the next 3 Cars & Coffee: 3/4, 4/8 and 5/6. Everyone is welcome, we have special parking under a canopy, we participate in a Red - White and Blue lap. And don't forget the drawing for the free ride-along laps (to be used that day). Benita Klaizner reported that the St. Patrick's Day Parade is Saturday March 11th. Staging will be at 8:30 AM. We will also need convertibles to drive the dignitaries around at the beginning of the parade. Barbara Belak reported that the Nevada Open Road Challenge will be May 18-21 and she is taking names for those who would like to help out. Kathy Clapp stated that Findlay Chevrolet will be hosting a Car Show at the Silverton Casino on Saturday May 13th, and she wants everyone to Save The Date, more details to come. Denise Karpa stated that we need events. She is here to help anyone who wants to host an event, maybe start back up with the monthly dinners.
Miscellaneous Announcements: Jerry Lawrence announced that he and Michelle will be playing at Griff's on Friday, 2/17, 9:00 PM - 1:00 AM. Skip Kelley stated that he is going to the Pahrump Balloon Festival on 2/26, leaving at 5:45 AM, anyone is welcome to join him. Benita Klaizner asked if anyone was interested in taking a group tour of the Wayne New Casa Shenandoah. It would be approximately $41.00 per person for Saturday April 14th. She asked for a show of hands for those who would be interested. Denise Karpa stated that the Village Square, there is a car show there every Thursday - antiques and classics. Rex Wilhoite informed us that the Awards Banquet will be at the Sunset Gardens again next year on 1/20/2018.
Clean Car Award: Roy Hoernke reported that because of the bad weather last month there are two winners this month. The winner for January is Marsha Borders, and the winner for February is Julie Cantonwine. Badge Drawing: no winner this month. 50/50: $155.00 was won this month by Darrell Wood. Raffles: were held.
A motion to adjourn: Linda Simpson made a motion to adjourn which was seconded by Scott Mergele. The motion carried and motion approved. The meeting adjourned at 8:48 PM.
