The meeting was called to order by President Kathy Clapp at 7:30 PM at the MacDonald Ranch Clubhouse Banquet Room. She thanked everyone for coming tonight. There were 55 members and 6 guests present. Findlay Chevrolet: Slim Stephens thanked all the members for all the referrals and that Paul Patane is really keeping busy and that Findlay remains proud to be our sponsor. Motion to approve the June 6, 2016 minutes: Deb Leatham made the motion to approve the minutes as written; Rich McSimov seconded. Motion passed. Birthdays for the month of July were read by Lin Hoernke. Treasure's Report: Connie's report on the website again shows a deficit for the year, this is due to setting aside $3000 for the 45th anniversary celebration in 2018. President Report: We will be extending our contract with the MacDonald Ranch Clubhouse for our meeting place for the next two years. Kathy asked for a volunteer to be webmaster to take over the website in 2017. Roy Hoernke is taking over the Clean Car Award program from Larry Leard. Old Business: None. Events Coordinator Roy Hoernke introduced the upcoming events. Cars
and Coffee will be on August 6th and September 3rd at 7am. Location
is Sansone Park Place Shopping Center on Eastern, south of the 215.

MTT Autocross/SCCA RE#11 will be at NIGHT on July 23rd at the
Silverton Hotel & Casino. Check the Website for more information.
The Mt. Charleston Lunch Get Away will be on Saturday August
27th. Connie Gentry is chairing this community service event that will
benefit the Mt. Charleston Volunteer Fire Department. A donation of
$5 per member will earn you a CS point. We'll meet at the Santa Fe Casino
at 9:45am and drive up to Mt Charleston for Lunch at 11am. Lunch will
be at the Lodge for $17=meal + tip. It is requested that we pay in cash.
The Mossybacks of Vegas Vettes Tuacahn 2016 want all LVCA members
to join the caravan to the Casablanca Resort in Mesquite, NV. Tarzan
is the production! Denise needs to order the tickets by August 5th,
so please sign-up now. After arriving in Mesquite, we'll have lunch,
check in to the hotel and enjoy the afternoon before we bus to Tuacahn.
On Sunday there will be free time. Activities are still in the planning
stages. This will be a community service event to benefit St. Jude's
Ranch. All detailed information is in the Vetter and on the Website.
On September 15th-18th the Silver State Classic Challenge will
take place in Ely, NV. Our coordinators, Ray and Barbara Belak will
be driving this time, so Lanny and Ken will be sending cars to the starting
line this time. Please contact Ray or Barbara if you are interested
in helping or racing. The President's Run to Prescott will be
September 22nd-25th. The Prescott Vette Sette Corvette Club will have
their 10th Annual All Corvettes Car Show. They expect 275 Corvettes!
The show is in support of the club's Charitable Foundation and as such
will make our event a community service event. See the Newsvetter or
Website for more information. A room block is available for Friday and
Saturday nights at the Prescott Resort & Casino. Make your plans
soon because this car show fills up quick! See Scott if you have any
questions. MTT Autocross/SCCA RE#13 will be on September 23rd
at LVMS. Remember, anyone can plan and present an event. See Roy for
details! Badge Drawing: Judy Harrison was not present. Next month's drawing will be $65. 50/50: Terry Rees had the winning ticket for $140. Raffle was conducted with the items from our sponsor, Findlay Chevrolet and from members. Raffle prize winners were Linda S, Ellen B, Roy H, Deb L, Janet L, Ken A, Gary Moore, Terry R, Victor R Jr, Jim A, Jim G, Rick B, Denise K & Mike F.
