| The meeting was
called to order by President Scott Mergele at 7:30 PM at the Landings
Restaurant. There were 41 members and 3 guests present. Scott Mergele
welcomed everyone here tonight. Findlay Chevrolet: Slim Stephens thanked everyone for our loyalty. He then informed us that for us Details are 1/2 price and Diagnostics are no-charge for the month of April. A motion to approve the March 2015 meeting minutes - Bob O'Brien made the motion to approve as presented, Debbie Leatham seconded, motion passed, motion approved. Birthday's were read by Julie Cantonwine. President's Report: Scott Mergele reported that the 2015 First Quarter Audit was conducted by an audit committee consisting of Connie Gentry, Lin Hoernke, Dawn Gregorio and Lennard Grodzinsky. The committee reported that all was very good and in order. Old Business: Scott Mergele asked the membership to table the Standing Rules Change to increase the dues till next month (May) membership meeting due to low attendance at this meeting. This was approved by show of hands. Charley Jones reported that the website events and membership is up to date. He has informed E-Board members on how to post individual information. Coming up members will be able to post photos of events and such. On approval they will be completed and posted. He also is working on being able to sign up for events on line. New Business: Introduction of New and Prospective Members: Ellie Johnson stated that we now have 200 members. Visitors tonight are Richard & Lupe Bolin and Steve Covert. Ellie Johnson then asked everyone that if you have any changes such as address, phone numbers, etc. to get these changes to her. Ellie Johnson then informed us that she will be out in May, July & August. Lin Hoernke will be filling in for her while she is gone. Committee Reports: Sunshine: Scarlett Stuart stated that Bob & Ingrid O'Brien picked up their new C7 Stingray. She also stated that she and Charley Jones bought their grandson his own C7 Stingray - miniature. Storekeeper: Cindy Fuller informed us that she has matching men & women's long sleeve, button down tailored, nice shirts. Men's go to 6X, women's go to 4X. Both are $25.00 each. She also has the same type of shirt that is tailored and they are $60.00 each. She also has some 40th Anniversary t-shirt for $15.00 and a few long sleeve t-shirts. Upcoming Events. Roy Hoernke spoke that the NCCC Convention and the Magnum Mile and 1 1/2 Mile are this week-end. To go to the NCCC Convention all you have to do is show up and pay for each individual event. Scott Mergele stated there are 8 cars registered for the Magnum Mile and 1 1/2 Mile with 5 going for the 200 MPH Club. Lin Hoernke stated that the next Classy Vettes Dining will be Friday, 4/17 at Buca on Lake Mead/Buffalo. We will have a special room. Skip Kelley informed us the next Garage Gang will be on Saturday, 4/18 at his home. The following month on Saturday, 5/2 Garage Gang will be at John Fuller's house. He then informed us that the next Cars & Coffee will be on Saturday, 5/9. Roy Hoernke stated the May Classy Vettes Dining will be held on Friday, 5/22 at "Sauce Bistro" in Henderson, 6-9 PM with a special room and special parking for our Vettes. Skip Kelley stated the "Bye Bye Birdie" at the Super Summer Theater at Spring Mountain Theater at Red Rock will be Saturday, 7/11 Price will be $20.00 per person. Tickets must be purchased by May 1st, so get your money to him ASAP. Miscellaneous Announcements: Skip Kelley asked the membership here tonight if they were interested in having the "Pets & Vettes" again this year? By a show of hands the membership stated they were interested. Skip Kelley then asked if anyone wanted to participate on a committee for the event, and if so, see him after the meeting. Clean Car Award: Larry Leard informed us that he will 75 years old this month. He and Connie Gentry presented the Clean Car Award this month to Ken Kroeger. Badge Drawing: was not won this month. 50/50: was won by Terry Rees this month. A motion to adjourn: Scott Mergele asked for a motion to adjourn which was made by Charley Jones and seconded by Skip Kelley. The motion carried and passed. The meeting adjourned at 8:16 PM.
