The meeting was called to order by President Sherrie W. at 7:32 pm in the Tres Rios Cantina next to the Paradise Café at the Las Vegas Hilton. There were 52 members and 12 guests present. Introduction of Findlay Chevrolet Sponsor Representatives: Sherrie introduced DJ Jeffers, and Slim Stephens. They are glad to be back and looking forward to a great relationship with LVCA. Slim stated they were offering 3 free details which were immediately taken. Lennard thanked them for their wonderful raffle prize donations. A motion to approve the May meeting minutes was made by Bob O., 2nd by Scott M., motion carried. Treasurer's Report review: Dave B. stated there are hard copies of the monthly report on the membership table outside the club meeting room and on our website. June birthdays were announced and those members present received a free drink coupon courtesy of the Hilton. Old Business:
none Introduction of Prospective Members/New Members: Membership Chairman Ellie J. stated we currently have 205 members with no new members joining this year yet. She acknowledged Rich & Anne Torres, Bob Patrick and Dale Sharp, members who have not attended a meeting in quite a while. Glad to see Bob Gass back at a meeting after his illness. Ellie will be gone for the summer and Carol G. and Lin H. will be taking her place. The dues statements will be mailed out September 1st, if you have a change of address let Ellie know now. Guests tonight were Henry Grodzinsky, Bill Gabor and Bella, Rosette DeGennaro, Karen Mirto, Mike Rees, Bob Hart, Jose Garcia, Rich Wood (former member) Jerry & Kimberly Cline & Terry Scobee. No membership plaques were presented. Committee Reports: Corvette Roulette Oct. 7-9, 2011: Chairman Jim G. stated that we are almost there but we can't host this event without volunteers. A sign-up sheet was passed around as all the driving events chairmen need more volunteers. A Car Show Judge's Clinic will be held at Findlay Sept. 24th. Whether or not you have attended one of Jim's training sessions before, you must attend this clinic again. Go to www.corvetteroulette.com for your registration form. Drag Racing Series: Ken R. related the results of the 2 previous drags, see June's NewsVetter or our website for the standings. Next drags will be June 18th, August 13th and August 27th. NCCC Governor: Carl H. recommended that if we are planning on any trips this summer in our vettes, to check out the CA, AZ, & NM NCCA events listed in the Newsvetter. They are exciting events with great prizes. Sears is now associated with NCCC and offer discounts. We will see information on the Future Corvette Owners Association (FCOA) on our website soon. Racer's Edge: Cathy W. announced the winners from Silver State May 12-14 and the last Drag Series on May 21st. See the website for the standings. Store: The

see photos of the old style club shirt for sale in smaller sizes only.
These are $50 shirts for $20. Contact Jan Tucker for availability. Past Events: The winners and times of the Nevada Open Road Race on May 12-14 were announced; see the website for the results. LVCA is compensated for our volunteering and Sally presented the club with a check for $494.00. The Helldorado Parade on May 14th only had 6 vettes and 10 people who participated, reported Jimmy C. Hopefully we will get more cars next year. It is an easy community service event and a lot of fun. Indy 500 100th Anniversary Brunch at the Russell's was a lot of fun with great food Ken reported. Midnight Mayhem May 20th: Cathy W. stated that the 8 participants were able to practice at the speedway in a calmer surrounding before the drags the next night. Upcoming Events: Denise K. said everything is set for Tuacahn June 11 in St. George and the Casablanca Hotel in Mesquite is having a Beer & Sake tasting. Frank's Father's Day Car Show June 18th: Darrell W. said to just show up at Findlay Chevrolet at 10am and give support to our new sponsor. Mt. Charleston Runaway August 20th: Connie G. said to meet at the Sante Fe at 9:30 and lunch is at 11. The cost will be $17 which includes drinks and dessert, but not alcohol. There are no signups, just show up. Ken A. asked that if you have an idea for an event please come see him. Misc. Announcements: Clean Car Award:
Roy H. presented this month's award to Connie G. 50/50: Dave B. won $131. Other raffle prizes included a $150 gift certificate from the Hilton, a Hilton shirt and hat. Findlay kindly donated 2 Corvette models, 5 hats, a keychain, a ladies necklace and a Corvette blanket. A Motion to Adjourn
