Introduction of Prospective Members/New Members: Lin H., filling in for Membership Chairman Ellie J., stated that we have 229 members. Committee Reports:

NCCC Governor: Carl H. presented 2 certificates to Jim G. from the Spring Mountain Autocross School & Time Trails. Carl has tallied the points for Corvette Roulette volunteers and competitors and they are posted on the website.

To ensure that everyone understands what our NCCC Liability Insurance covers and how the E-board ensures our events meet their coverage requirements, Carl gave a brief summary. This included what events are covered (meetings, socials, caravans, car shows and competition events); who it covers (all individual participating members in good standing); and what it covers (personal injury liability to include false arrest, malicious prosecution, libel, slander, right of privacy violation and wrongful entry or eviction.) The policy does not cover any physical damage to a member's Corvette while participating in a covered event/activity.

Three criteria MUST be met to qualify a claim:
(1.) The event/activity must be approved (sanctioned) by the governing body of the club. (2.) The event/activity must be published in the club's newsletter prior to the event/activity and (3.) The waiver forms for the event/activity must be signed by everyone participating in the event/activity. There will be more details on the website.

Racer's Edge: Sally M., filling in for Bob M., stated that a volunteer sign-up sheet is being passed around for the Nevada Open Road Race Sept. 16-19. There will be a Friday parade, Saturday car show, driver's meeting, two nights free motel room for the volunteers and a free welcome party Friday night.

In case some members didn't see the e-mail she sent out, Sherrie W. reminded everyone of the recent addition of 2 alternative locations for dinner on club meeting nights which the Hilton is now offering us. The buffet price has risen to $19.20 which includes beer and wine. The Paradise Café next to the meeting room offers a 25% discount, with special seating in the back. We can also get food at the bar at Tres Rios, right outside the meeting room.

Store: Storekeeper Linda B. asked us to come over and see what new items she has for sale, including earrings, purses, watches, clocks, aprons, and playing cards, all with the club's logo on them. Dave B. modeled the man's camp shirt and Linda modeled the new tank top she would like to sell. It comes in white, lavender, pink or black with red or clear Vegas Vettes in rhinestones. A motion to approve the store offering the tank tops was made by Jim R., 2nd by Cindy F., motion carried.

Sunshine: Lin H. announced that she has heard of NO illnesses this month. It is a clean, clear, happy month.

Webmaster: Pat R. stated that if you tried to download the July NewsVetter via the quickie link he sent you, you probably had trouble doing so as there was an error in the link. You can go to the "Club Info" tab instead and read it there. He has added a Hot Items tab. There is also a link to the Virginia City Hill Club on u-tube. Sherrie announced that Vegas Vettes has a Face book page which is monitored by her.
