LVCA YEAR-END AWARDS/CLASSIFICATIONS/TITLES

The following are, but not limited to, the awards and classifications of awards which are to be evaluated and the recipient selected as per procedures mandated by Association By-Laws:

“INDIVIDUAL MEMBER AWARDS” (Competitive)

TITLE OF AWARD: "MOST ACTIVE MEMBER OVERALL"

SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS AWARD:
To encourage attendance of the membership to all events and activities. To promote active memberships. To officially recognize the member who has contributed the most attendance to the Association's events and activities.
EVALUATION & SELECTION OF THE AWARD RECIPIENT:
All records of attendance will be the responsibility of and maintained by the Assocciation's Vice President. In order for the Vice President to produce accurate records for the selection of the recipient of this award, assistance will be required of the Vice President, Committee Chairpersons and/or other E-Board officers.
There will be a Waiver at all events and activities requiring official attendance documentation. The sheets will have the date and title of the event on each sheet. It will be the responsibility of each member in attendance to seek out the Waiver sheet and print their name legibly to insure credit for their attendance.
Types of activities or events which are to be the basis for the evaluations for this award are: All Association sanctioned events.
It will be the responsibility of the chairperson to have a Waiver available for all members and guests to sign. The Waivers will be given to the Vice President by the next scheduled Association General Meeting.
Attendance records will be for the period of January 1st through December 31st of the year being evaluated. At the end of the period and prior to the Awards presentation date, the Vice President will present the complete attendance record to not less than two other E-Board officers for their review and verification.
Each Association member will be evaluated and will be given one point for each event or activity for which the member earned credit for attendance. The member with the highest total of points will be selected for the award.
NOTE: The President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer or the three Directors of the Association are eligible for this award. All the L.V.C.A. members are eligible.
If a member does not attend the entire event, he/she may still earn attendance credit for the event if:
1) The member has written his/her name on the Waiver.
2) Has helped to support the event by paying any participation fees or entry fees required.
3) People actually working the event, not necessarily participating, would receive attendance credit as long as his/her name was on the Waiver.
4) A person must officially be an L.V.C.A. member at the time of the activity in order to receive attendance credit for this award.
DEFINTION
ATTENDANCE SHEETS: Waivers showing the date and the name of the event; and including the handwritten or printed signatures of each person attending plus the signification as to member of L.V.C.A. or noted as a guest.

TITLE OF AWARD: “MOST NEW MEMBERS RECRUITED”

SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS AWARD:
To encourage and to promote the growth of the Association's membership; to emphasize the importance of the individual member to obtain new members.
All official Las Vegas Corvettes Association applications for membership will be retained, in file, by the Association Treasurer. All those showing a paid (dues and fees) date between January 1st through December 31st of the year being evaluated will be allowable. Only those applications for membership with a sponsor's name or a attached "Membership Inquiry" flyer (brochure) with a sponsor's name will be allowable for this award.
The Association's Treasurer will compile a list of the sponsor's names and the number of valid new members they have recruited. At least two other officers of the E-Board will review the applications and the treasurer's computations before the recipient of the award is selected.
NOTE: Applications for Membership submitted in the month of December may not be billed and payment for dues and fees received in time to make the December 31st deadline. In these cases they will be credited to the sponsor members next year’s total.
There may be certain activities used in part (i.e. the Jaycee Fair Exhibit, Auto Shows, etc.) to procure new members. If such events, to be sanctioned or endorsed by the Association's participation, are something more than a part of a membership drive or campaign; and they create unequal opportunity for individual members to recruit new members. The E-Board will make the determination as to whether or not such activities will be allowable for earning credit for this award and will announce their decision to the membership in advance of the activity.
The Association's President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and three Directors or any member of the "Membership Committee" can be eligible for this award.
DEFINITIONS - NEW MEMBER: Any person who is either joining for the first time or a past member who is being reinstated and has complied to all requirements of membership as stated by the Association's By-Laws.

TITLE OF AWARD: “MOST IMPROVED VETTE”

SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS AWARD:
To enhance the love of the Corvette, to encourage members to maintain a perpetual pictorial account of all improvements to their Vette in a scrapbook.
1) THE COVER DESIGN: Must include the following in order to receive full judging value.
a) Must incorporate the year or years the scrapbook depicts (if the book contains more than one year, only the year's material being evaluated will be considered by those doing the evaluating).
b) Must include the member’s name that the book belongs to.
If a standard over the counter-type of scrapbook is used and a custom cover is not appropriate, then the first page of the scrapbook should be designed with the above qualifiers as if it were the cover.
The persons evaluating the books will look for the above qualifiers and include the following: originality and craftsmanship, neatness and artistic efforts.
2) CONTENTS: All pictures, clippings, flyers must be arranged in chronological order as they occurred during the year with the latest event towards the back of the book. All documentation will cover the period of January 1st through December 31st of the year being evaluated.
The persons evaluating the books will look for the chronological order as stated above plus the following: The general appearance of each page, any additional creativity such as artwork, titles and sub-titles, general descriptive commentary and/or quips which pertain to the pictures and articles; that all pictures used are of good enough quality to show what they are about.
3) OVERALL: Overall evaluations of the scrapbook will consist of the fo11owing:
a) Neatness
b) Completeness
c) Creativity
NOTE: The E-Board will notify the membership as to when and where the scrapbooks must be turned in for evaluation (after December 31st and before the Awards Presentation). Failure to turn in the scrapbooks by the designated time and date could disqualify the entry.
At least three members of the E-Board will evaluate the scrapbooks as to the criteria outlined in this procedure. They should not do the evaluations together as a group but rather each doing their evaluations of the books separately of the other evaluators. Each person doing the evaluations will make a list of the categories to be evaluated and assign each category the number of points the evaluator feels the category has earned.

TITLE OF AWARD: “MOST ATTENDED EVENT”
SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS AWARD:
To promote the LVCA Events; to encourage new Event Chairs and promtoe new and interesting events for our club.
All Events from January 1st through December 31st will be evaluated for most attended event of that year based upon the following criterions:
1) Number of attendees at the event.
Evaluations and determination of the winning event will be made by the E-Board officers or designates.

TITLE OF AWARD: “BEST FLYER”
SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS AWARD:
To enhance communications of "Events"; to promote imagination and artistic values; to establish clarity and continuity of information.
All flyers announcing an "Event" from January 1st through December 31st will be evaluated for best flyer of that year based upon the following criterions:
1) Artistic/graphic quality; legibility of lettering; and renderings which support and incorporate the basic theme of the event.
2) The name "Las Vegas Corvettes Association" or "Vegas Vettes" appearing on the flyer as a distinctive part of the format (the Association’s logo will also satisfy this condition).
3) The name or title given the event to be shown as a predominate feature of the flyer.
4) The date and time information, the cost information (if applicable), place and address information (a basic map if thought to be difficult for members to find location) are to be included in flyer’s format.
5) A telephone number for members to get additional information regarding the event is to be included in flyer’s format.
NOTE: The above requirements must be on the title flyer, additional information or instructions can be attached as a second page, if desired.
There are no restrictions on size, materials or paper or ink color used.
Evaluations and determination of the winning flyer will be made by the E-Board officers or designates. Designates can be non-members but should have knowledge of art/graphic and be furnished with the above criterions.

TITLE OF AWARD: “BEST SCRAPBOOK”

SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS AWARD:
To encourage and to promote creativity; to encourage members to maintain a perpetual pictorial account of accomplishments, events. members for archival and historical value.
1) THE COVER DESIGN: Must include the following in order to receive full judging value.
a) Must incorporate the year or years the scrapbook depicts (if the book contains more than one year, only the year's material being evaluated will be considered by those doing the evaluating).
b) Must include the member’s name that the book belongs to.
If a standard over the counter-type of scrapbook is used and a custom cover is not appropriate, then the first page of the scrapbook should be designed with the above qualifiers as if it were the cover.
The persons evaluating the books will look for the above qualifiers and include the following: originality and craftsmanship, neatness and artistic efforts.

All documentation will cover the period of January 1st through December 31st of the year being evaluated.
The persons evaluating the books will look for the chronological order as stated above plus the following: The general appearance of each page, any additional creativity such as artwork, titles and sub-titles, general descriptive commentary and/or quips which pertain to the pictures and articles; that all pictures used are of good enough quality to show what they are about.
3) MISCELLANEOUS CONTENTS: Gimmicks, cartoons, special pictures and trivia items. These should complement the main idea of a page or the central theme of the scrapbook. If they are unrelated to anything in particular, they should be placed on separate pages in the back of the book.
The persons evaluating the books will look for the incorporation of such novelties, as stated above, and humorous applications.
4) OVERALL: Overall evaluations of the scrapbook will consist of the fo11owing:
a) Neatness
b) Completeness
c) Creativity
