LVCA’S 34thPresident’s Run

Hosted by Benita Klaizner

What a weekend! It all started out with 29 cars caravanning to Casa Grande, Arizona with a whole lot of fun people. We did have 3 more that joined us and one Cadillac guest car. The week end was full of fun and Horsin’ around. We started out with arriving at the beautiful resort of Francisco Grande in Casa Grande, with a wonderful welcome party then on to party in the John Wayne’s suite. The next day we had a great Breakfast then off to see just what it is that Benita’s Jerry loves to do more than the Corvetting! Would that be, Team Roping? Yes and a lot of it. It was pretty neat to see all those Corvettes at a Team Roping Competition! Saturday Evening Cowboy Cookout was really good except the weather was not cooperating and we could not have the Bon Fire! Boo! Hoo! But that’s okay because we had the opportunity to play my favorite game Deal or No Deal! Thanks to Howie Bonnie! It was a blast and I won Big Time! I even get to have my Czech when he won’t be here thanks to Jo! By the way the John Wayne Suite is haunted, the Towels disappear, the toilet paper appears in the most mysterious places and flowers were everywhere for me to find and enjoy! Thank goodness he is a friendly one! Sunday we enjoyed another awesome breakfast then off to a great day of driving our Corvettes to beautiful Tucson to the wildlife Museum. That really was something to see! After our time there we were off to a beautifull drive to Old Tucson Studios where we were given the privilege to go on set and show off all our beautiful Corvettes at the Old Chaparral set for the day. There was on comment that there was one Family who went to see the cars and their little boy never smiled but when he saw our cars he smiled from ear to ear and could not get enough of looking at them and smiling. That made my day! I also had the opportunity to make my debut as an actress. Apparently it was pretty funny!! I am happy to have given everyone a big laugh on my expense!! I have to say it was a sight to see with my botox lips, my crown that was designed by Debbie and as Jeff said my dress that really made me look like Aunt Jemima! Thanks! The day was great, then we caravanned back to Francisco Grande, Casa Grande with an evening of more fun and a raffle where everyone went home with a little something that had a story to go along with it, also a 50/50 that the Benton’s won. Congratulations. The weekend was very full of fun, laughter and good times with friends and memories that will always be in my heart.
